Fine Art and Art History Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) - BA (Hons)

BA (Hons) Fine Art and Art History brings together studio practice, art historical study and curating, giving you the tools to create, interpret and present art with confidence. You’ll develop practical skills through hands-on studio work while learning how ideas, movements and histories influence the way art is made, seen and understood. Alongside this, you’ll explore how exhibitions and cultural spaces operate, gaining curatorial experience that strengthens your understanding of audiences. 

You’ll learn in dedicated studio spaces and specialist workshops, supported by practicing artists, art historians and curators. Opportunities to connect with Manchester’s arts scene and work with local organisations help you understand how creative projects come to life in real contexts. By combining making, writing and curating, this course prepares you for a wide range of roles across the cultural and creative industries.
