Whether youre looking to start an exciting career in health and social care or already working in the field, this course will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in modern <br/>healthcare settings, preparing you for a rewarding and in-demand profession.<br/><br/>This course focuses on delivering person-centred and compassionate care, developing the skills needed for effective practice in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment. You will gain an understanding of: <br/><br/><br/>- the development of health and social care in the UK from the twentieth century to the present day<br/><br/><br/>- the contemporary ethical, cultural, political, legal and social context in which health and social care takes place<br/><br/><br/>- the key theories, concepts and principles that underpin practice in health and social care, including the significance of service-user perspectives<br/><br/><br/>- the diversity of values found within health and social care.<br/><br/><br/>This course will provide opportunities:<br/><br/><br/>- to progress to the next level of study: 1 year to convert your Diploma in a BSc (Hons) Care, Wellbeing and Health<br/><br/><br/>- to gain employment in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors, e.g., Care Home Advocate, Grants Officer, Health Educator, Community Support worker, Volunteer Coordinator, Probationary work or Police work. <br/>
