You’ll focus on designing and developing secure software systems. You'll learn theory and techniques used to make systems resilient against cybersecurity threats. You'll learn about:

* network and system security
In your first two years, you'll study a broad Computer Science curriculum. You’ll learn about creative problem-solving, program design and implementation.
In your final year, you’ll learn more about Cyber Security and study more specialised modules.
You'll also have the option to take part in a paid industry placement or study abroad year.

(excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking). We are committed to encouraging the adoption of A level Computing. Students applying with an A level in Computing will receive favourable consideration. GCSE Mathematics grade B or 6 required.

Combinations of Highers and Advanced Highers accepted. Where a candidate bypasses the assessment for National 5 qualifications, a minimum of grade C in the Higher in Mathematics is required. Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
Minimum grade B or 6 in at least five GCSEs required, including Mathematics.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)
Including Ordinary Level Mathematics required at grade O2 if not offered at Higher Level.
T Level
This course accepts the following T levels: Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction; Digital Production, Design and Development; Digital Business Services; Digital Support Services; Healthcare Science; Science. Distinction overall with minimum grade B in core component. GCSE Mathematics grade B or 6 required.
