Whether you’re looking for a specialist area of psychology or prefer to follow a general route, Northumbria University’s BSc (Hons) in Psychology could be the undergraduate course for you.<br/><br/>You will have the option to tailor your degree through option choice and leave with one of Northumbria University’s specialist awards or choose to follow the more general BSc (Hons) Psychology degree course. <br/><br/>Northumbria University’s psychology course is taught by experienced, approachable research-active staff who take an innovative approach to learning. You will develop an understanding of the theories behind the ways we think and behave, examining a wide range of domains within psychology including cognitive psychology, psychobiology, developmental and social psychology. <br/><br/>Lab sessions give you valuable hands-on practical experience and you’ll have access to state-of-the art facilities.<br/><br/>The optional work placement and your final year research project will develop your personal and professional skills. To meet the requirements for Graduate Basis for Chartered membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society, you must achieve a 2:2 or higher, and must pass the empirical psychology project.
