This course is the first year of our BA (Hons) Music Production & Songwriting degree.

The CertHE Music Production & Songwriting is designed for aspiring songwriters, producers and composers who want to shape their musical identity, refine their craft and build towards career in the music industry. This course provides you with a grounding in the skills, confidence and industry insights you will need to find success.

At the beginning of the course, you will take part in a two-day professional songwriting bootcamp. This immersive experience gives you the space to focus deeply on your writing and artistic development away from distractions, helping you push creative boundaries and discover the core of your songwriting identity.

You’ll learn the core principles of songwriting, from lyrical and melodic composition to creating arrangements that captivate listeners. You’ll gain experience in music production, learning how to create, produce and market your music to a professional standard.
