A level

To include a science subject. A Level English is recommended. English and Maths are required at GCSE grade 5/C or above if not held at A Level.

T Level

Accepted in combination with an A Level in a Science subject at grade C. Maths and English are also required at GCSE grade 5.

Scottish HNC

HNC in a related subject e.g. Healthcare Practice, Social Services, Applied Science, Social Sciences accepted on its own

Scottish HND

HND in a related subject e.g. Applied Science, Social Sciences, accepted on its own

Scottish Higher

To include a science subject. Higher English is recommended. English and Maths or Applications of Maths are required at National 5 grade C or above if not held at Higher.

Access to HE Diploma

offer-merit: 45.0, offer-pass: 15.0

Pass with 60 credits to include at least 45 level 3 credits at Merit. English, Maths and a Science subject is a requirement.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

28 to include a science subject at Higher Level. Higher Level English is recommended. English & Maths required at Standard Level grade 3 if not held at Higher.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

Maths, English and a Science subject are also required at GCSE grade 5 or above.

Foundation Apprenticeship (SCQF Level 6)

May be accepted in combination with SQA Highers

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)
