Intended to support farm businesses across a wide range of scales and structures, the BSc (Hons) Farm Management is a management‑led, industry‑aligned programme that prepares graduates to manage, develop and improve commercial farming enterprises. Drawing on RAU’s applied research and employer partnerships, the curriculum integrates business and financial management, strategic decision‑making, digital and geospatial decision‑support, production knowledge, and sustainability and environmental compliance.
Where conventional Agriculture programmes are commonly production led, with management and business taught in support, the Farm Management programme is explicitly business‑first, applying technical agriculture, financial analysis and environmental data to optimise performance, strengthen resilience and enhance sustainability outcomes.
Students do not need a farming background, just the motivation to lead change in a rapidly evolving sector. Learning is anchored in real time farm and enterprise contexts, live case work and an Applied Business Project (capstone) in the final year, demonstrating readiness for professional practice (e.g., consultancy, management roles, or enterprise leadership).
