<strong>Understand how behaviour, developmental processes, and the mind affect sports performance with our BPS-accredited Psychology of Sport and Performance (previously called Sport Psychology) degree</strong> <br/><br/>Improve athletic performance and well-being by getting to know the human experience with our Psychology of Sport and Performance degree. You will be eligible for the Graduate Membership with the BPS by successfully completing this course. <br/><br/><strong>World-class sports facilities</strong> <br/>With our Sport Psychology course, you will get access to our world-class sports facilities, including our gymnasium, training pitches, and the Sir Mo Farah Athletics Track. <br/><br/><strong>A close-knit community</strong> <br/>We are smaller than many other universities. You can ask them anything”.* <br/><br/><strong>Work placements: build professional experience</strong> <br/><br/>You may also undertake a paid work placement in the local or wider London area during your Psychology of Sport and Performance degree. Previous students have worked within: <br/><br/><br/>- mental health charities <br/><br/><br/>- schools <br/><br/><br/>- sports coaching. <br/><br/><br/>• Professional bodies <br/><br/><br/><br/>• Professionally accredited courses provide industry-wide recognition of the quality of your qualification. <br/><br/><br/><br/>• British Psychological Society <br/><br/><br/><br/><strong>Modules</strong> <br/><br/><br/>• In <strong>first year</strong>, you are introduced to modules in cognitive, behavioural, social and developmental psychology as well as modules specific to sports such as physiology of exercise. You will also start to develop your research skills and knowledge of statistics. <br/><br/><br/><br/>• In<strong> second year</strong> with core modules you will continue to develop skills learnt in first year and with optional modules you can choose to a placement module that can give you experience in sports or education. <br/><br/><br/><br/>• In <strong>third year</strong>, you will have even more control over your studies and will be able to tailor your course to you by choosing optional modules in specific areas depending on what interests you. You will also do an independent research project. <br/><br/>
