The course is a natural progression route for holders of a QCF Level 5 Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification in a related discipline. <br/><br/>You study via distance learning using Teesside University’s online learning platform which means you can easily fit your studies around work and other personal commitments.<br/><br/>The course covers a broad spectrum of engineering topics and deepens your knowledge of subject areas previously studied as part of your HND, foundation degree or equivalent. You gain a rounded knowledge and understanding of electrical and electronic systems and drives. The design and project modules allow you to solve complex multi-disciplinary engineering design and implementation problems.<br/><br/>**After the course**: Work opportunities exist in industries which include aerospace, communications, power generation and transmission, manufacturing and process, research and development and many others. If you successfully complete this degree with at least 2.2 honours you can apply for one of several MSc programmes for further study.
