Turn your passion for outdoor adventurous activities into a rewarding career, developing skills that connect people with nature and highlight the societal benefits of the environment.\
Your journey begins with an introductory foundation year at our Fusehill Street Campus in Carlisle, which is designed to build a solid base in scientific, intellectual and investigative skills and knowledge so that you reach the level needed to undertake the remainder of your degree in Ambleside.\
From your second year, you will study at our Ambleside campus, set within the stunning Lake District National Park, where you will study biodiversity and immerse yourself in the outdoors like never before. Using local fells, valleys, and waters as your classroom, you will develop and apply practical and therapeutic skills that prepare you for a fulfilling career in outdoor education and adventure.\
Make the most of the stores, where a range of equipment stands ready for your exploration. Once validated, you will be able to borrow everything from climbing equipment to kayaks, ensuring an enriched experience in the stunning Lake District and propelling your skills and studies to new heights.\
There are also several field trips in the UK and you will have the opportunity to travel independently to the Picos de Europa in Spain. This opportunity will set you up for a successful career in the great outdoors. Whether you work in environmental education, conservation and environmental management, or using therapeutic applications outdoors.\
You will be supported throughout your journey by academics who are passionate about both the environment and adventure. Their personalised guidance will help you maximise your learning, develop your skills, and make the most of your time in Ambleside.
