Our BA (Hons) Photography with Integrated Foundation degree provides a deep understanding of production outcomes for image editing, print, and web platforms through technical workshops and personalised practical support.\
Our foundation course will give you a strong grounding to experience life through the camera lens to advance your studies to degree level. You’ll learn all the essential photography basics - how to use a variety of cameras, both digital and film, how to make creative images, work in a studio and on location, and how to print your photos to a high standard. You will also explore historical and contemporary photographers and images to encourage you to develop your own style and flourish as a photographer ready for year one of the degree course.\
You’ll have access to industry-standard facilities, including black-and-white and specialist colour darkrooms with a Colenta colour processor, as well as three versatile, fully equipped shooting studios.\
Our dedicated professional photography technician and expert tutor team will support your individual creative development, build your skill set, and prepare you for a career as a professional photographer.\
You will work both on location and on campus, with inspiring field trips and the spectacular Lake District on your doorstep—offering natural environments, diverse culture, and countless outdoor activities to engage with.\
