This online Masters in Public Health will give you experience in a research intensive environment with strong links to public health practice. Public health has a central role in guiding health care practice, influencing health policy, protecting the public and improving population health. Whatever your background, this programme will give you the skills and knowledge to drive positive change and help safeguard public health, as well as the opportunity to critically explore the field of public health in order to advance your career in health improvement, health protection and humanitarian aid.<br/><br/>**WHY THIS PROGRAMME**<br/><br/>Run by the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences, home to world-leading expertise across a diverse range of disciplines, the programme features interdisciplinary content from environmental protection to sociology and health economics.<br/><br/>Through our research, the University of Glasgow has been at the forefront of major public health interventions such as Scotlands smoking ban and alcohol misuse strategy.<br/><br/>In addition to our academic expertise, youll benefit from input from local authorities, volunteer organisations, the private sector and the Universitys contractual connections with NHS Scotland.<br/><br/>Taking a multidisciplinary approach, this online Masters in Public Health is taught by staff from a number of areas. Current disciplines represented include health promotion, health protection, sociology, psychology, epidemiology, statistics, and health economics.<br/><br/>This Masters in Public Health equips you with an in-depth theoretical and practical understanding of public health principles and practice as well as epidemiology, health protection and health promotion.
