<strong>Why Acting?</strong><br/>Our Acting degree enables you to build practical techniques and theoretical knowledge in acting, directing, creative collaboration, research, arts management and drama teaching. You’ll learn about the full range of theatre from classical acting to improvisation, physical theatre to contemporary digital performance. With opportunities to gain experience working in settings including Cheltenhams Everyman Theatre and Gloucesters Kings Theatre, as well as at venues like the Wilson Art Gallery and the National Trust’s Croome Court, our graduates stand out from the competition. You can even take a show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and learn from Broadway actors and directors on a trip to New York City (additional costs may apply, see course web page for details). <br/><br/>You’ll draw on the expertise of experienced professionals, gaining an array of practical skills in voice, movement, relaxation techniques, singing, stage combat and acting for camera. The academic programme is also supplemented by specialist workshops in areas such as commedia dellarte mask performance, TV drama, clowning and radio acting.
