* Why BSc Biology?* <br/>The pandemic and biodiversity crises on our planet have highlighted how central the study of Life Sciences is to our future. Our Biology course brings natural history and medical science together to offer a wide-ranging and flexible degree.<br/>Our bioscience courses achieve a consistent high ranking in the UK for student experience and graduate prospects. From 2nd for student satisfaction in the Complete University Guide 2025, to 5th for teaching quality in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025, to 11th for graduate careers in the Guardian University Guide 2025.<br/>After Year 1 you can maintain a broad interest in Biology or specialise. You can also choose to switch degree entirely to our BSc Zoology or BSc Wildlife Conservation Biology courses if you wish.<br/>If you’re interested in field research, you’ll progress from UK training in Year 1 to overseas research and placements in South Africa, Costa Rica, or Switzerland.
