<strong>Why Music Business (with a placement year)?</strong><br/>This is a fast-moving and exciting degree, designed to help you become enterprising and create opportunities in the new music business.<br/><br/>We cover all facets of music business to give you a taste of it all. You’ll learn how to run live events, develop and manage artists and audiences, conduct sophisticated promotional campaigns and launch your own music enterprises.<br/><br/>You’ll gain specialist knowledge in music law and copyright, artist management, marketing/PR and events production and management. Most of all, you’ll be supported to build your own professional network from day one.<br/><br/>Our media centre lets you access modern studios, media suites and performance and broadcast spaces. You’ll work closely with creative arts, media and tech students, managing collaborative and large-scale projects on music festival stages, in national campaigns and at a range of live events and enterprises.<br/><br/><strong>Why a placement year?</strong><br/>You have the choice of whether to pursue a three-year degree with short work placement opportunities embedded, or to opt for four years and add a full year work placement between your second and final years of study. Our professional network of staff and graduates is very well connected and proactive.
