Liberal Arts Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) - BA (Hons)

This highly flexible degree combines different subject areas, enabling you to shape your course according to your own interests and enthusiasms.

You choose a major subject from within humanities or social sciences – from a choice of English, History, Philosophy, Politics, Sociology and Cultural Studies.

You’ll then choose additional modules from within a broad range of topic areas, which include themes like Creativity and Change, Global Citizenship and Communication, Disruption and Social Transformation, and Visions of the Past, Present and Future. These themes ensure diverse choices of modules while complementing the Humanities and Social Sciences focus of the programme. You'll also study a compulsory module each year with your Liberal Arts cohort, helping you to develop key skills for interdisciplinary study at University and beyond whilst building a strong student community.

You’ll also have the chance to take a study abroad year or a work placement in your third year.

This course also provides opportunities for engagement with external partners such as businesses, museums and charities while developing impactful research projects. You’ll graduate with the transferable skills and confidence you need to address diverse audiences and pursue a variety of career paths, including further study.
