A programme aimed at those students who see themselves working in the world of insurance, financial or governmental services, where actuarial mathematics plays a key role.

We have accreditation from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, the professional body for actuaries in the UK. Currently, our students can receive exemptions for CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT5, CT6, CT7 and CT8 of the professional actuarial exams.

Including A level Mathematics at grade A Applicants must have studied Mathematics at Level 3 within 2 years of the start date of their course. For applicants from England: Where a science has been taken at A level (Chemistry, Biology or Physics), a pass in the science practical of each subject will be required. Some Level 3 qualifications are only acceptable alongside 2 or 3 A levels, please contact us for details.

Science T Level considered with A level Mathematics. Typical offer would be Distinction overall, with a grade B in the Core Component and a Distinction in the Specialism Component.

GCSE Mathematics and English at grade 4/C required. Applicants with equivalent qualifications or who do not meet these GCSE requirements will be considered on an individual basis according to their circumstances.

Extended Project

Applicants who offer the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and 3 A levels and meet our offer criteria will be made the standard offer, plus an alternative offer. This will be at one A Level grade lower plus a grade A in the EPQ, for example the offer would be ABB or ABC plus A in the EPQ, including grade A in Mathematics.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

32 points overall with no score less than 4 including 6 in HL Mathematics, or pass the IB Diploma plus 6,5,5 in three HL subjects (including 6 in HL Mathematics).

WJEC Level 3 Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales

B in the Welsh Baccalaureate, plus AB at A level (including grade A in Mathematics). Some Level 3 qualifications are only acceptable alongside 2 or 3 A levels, please contact us for details.
