It prepares students for careers in mental health, counselling and further postgraduate study in clinical psychology.

As part of the course, you’ll take part in two integrated placements in Stage 2 and Stage 3, where you’ll gain hands-on experience in psychology-related or clinical settings. There’s also the option to undertake a year-long placement before your final year, giving you the chance to build deeper professional experience and develop key employability skills. With a strong focus on clinical applications, this course prepares you for a wide range of careers in mental health, education and research, or for further training in areas such as clinical or counselling psychology.

Throughout the course, you’ll be taught using a combination of lectures, seminars, practical workshops and independent study.
