Build a strong foundation in chemical and environmental engineering while developing an understanding of what it means to be a professional engineer. Design projects feature throughout the course, giving you opportunities to apply your knowledge to real challenges in energy, waste management, water, and biotechnology.
You will learn in modern, well-equipped labs and design studios with a strong focus on practical and collaborative learning. Alongside technical expertise, you will develop valuable skills in project and business management, data analysis, and team collaboration.
In your third year, your industrial placement will enhance your skills and give you direct experience of the challenges and innovations in the field. Support will be provided throughout the process, from preparing applications and interviews to settling into your placement. Academic staff will remain closely involved through regular visits and ongoing contact, making sure your professional experience complements your academic development.
This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue professional registration as a Chartered Engineer, following the relevant industrial training and experience.
