Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are rapidly growing fields, with demand for graduates across a wide range of sectors, including information technology, financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, business, environmental science and energy. This degree provides graduates with industrial-relevant knowledge and practical skills in data science and artificial intelligence. You will gain competence across a broad range of key areas, including programming, data curation and processing, data privacy and ethics, data management, using artificial intelligence ethically, visualisation, analytics, and modelling.<br/><br/>• This course contains modules in key areas relevant to data science and artificial intelligence, including statistics, software engineering and development, machine learning, operational research, big data, real-world applications of artificial intelligence, and parallel computing.<br/>• Stage 1 will provide the foundations in data science, software engineering and mathematics for later stages of the programme.<br/>• Enjoy new facilities – state-of-the-art lecture theatres, computer laboratories, study and social spaces – in our £63 million teaching and research building that opened in 2023.
