Business Law Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) - BA (Hons)

### What you’ll study

Our BA (Hons) Business Law degree is perfect for students who want to understand the vital role law plays in society and commerce. You’ll learn about company regulation, commercial law and competition law. You’ll study how businesses operate under Scots law and how to resolve dispute through arbitration.

In your final years, you'll have access to various modules. You can choose to study from a range of options such as:

* international options like European law and private international commercial law

* labour laws

* sports law

* environmental and energy law 

You’ll also undertake modules in line with the requirements of the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates.

If you want to qualify as a solicitor in Scotland, you’ll need the [LLB](https://www.stir.ac.uk/courses/ug/law-llb/). But if you’re looking for a broader academic experience, the BA Business Law is ideal.

### Work placements in business law

We’ll give you the essential legal practical skills and knowledge for your career in business law. You can choose an optional work placement with an organisation. It’s a chance to put your knowledge into practice, gain real-world experience and boost your employability.

You will also complete a law dissertation and gain skills in research and project management.
