In addition to the formally scheduled contact time, you are encouraged to access academic support from staff within the course team and the wide range of services available to you within the University. Your work on campus is enhanced and developed through a series of school placements and Intensive Training and Practice (ITAP) weeks, where you will develop a reflective approach to your practice and the ability to work flexibly, responsively, and effectively in the classroom.<br/><br/>**Facilities**<br/><br/>Our extensive range of resources are available to you. Many curriculum and specialist modules have opportunities for you to spend time in local schools, which ensures you have an opportunity to make connections between theory and practice. The taught elements of the course take place on campus in Winchester.<br/><br/>**Our Connections**<br/><br/>We work closely with over 400 schools in the region, from large urban schools to village schools serving diverse communities. Our extensive network of schools provides you with a variety of school experiences where you will apply what you have learned on campus, deepen your understanding of critical theories, and refine your practice. Historically, Teachers and Senior Leaders from our Partnership schools contribute to the programme, from recruitment to preparation to be Early Career Teachers, to ensure the University supports ongoing teacher development. Many local Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers are historically Winchester graduates.

We welcome applications from students who are completing an Access to Higher Education Diploma. We normally look for applicants to have studied a course that is in a similar subject and offers are usually made in line with our published tariff point range.
A GCSE A*- C or 9-4 pass in English Language, mathematics and a science is required. If you have taken a combined Science GCSE, a minimum grade of 4-3 is required. Original GCSE certificates or certified copies will be requested at interview stage.
