The BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Training with Integrated Foundation Year offers a clear and supportive start to your journey into this diverse and evolving industry. Whether you’re returning to education or building your confidence step by step, the foundation year eases you in while you develop a strong understanding of animal behaviour, training methods, and the science that underpins them. As you progress, you’ll explore real-world challenges, engage with current research, and build the skills to analyse behaviour, solve problems creatively, and work compassionately with a wide range of species.
Throughout the degree, you’ll learn how to communicate your ideas clearly, work hands-on with animals, and apply evidence-based approaches to training and behaviour modification. WCUC students are also eligible to register with the ABTC as Animal Training Instructors (ATI) and Animal Behaviour Technicians (ABT), a fantastic opportunity that recognises your professionalism and boosts your career prospects. This nationally respected accreditation shows employers you’re ready to make a positive impact, supporting owners, improving animal welfare, and contributing to a field that is constantly growing, innovating, and full of exciting possibilities.
