You will develop strong programming, mathematical, systems, data and networking foundations before progressing to advanced programming, cloud platforms and machine learning, and then to deep learning and agentic AI applications. \

The programme is practical and future-focused. Small-group teaching, specialist computing facilities and virtual lab access support frequent hands-on work. Authentic assessments use industry, community and simulated-client briefs so that you build a portfolio of software, data, cloud and AI work alongside the ability to explain and defend your decisions. Ethics, security, privacy, fairness, accessibility, explainability and environmental sustainability are integrated across the curriculum rather than treated as an isolated topic. \
\
Work-related experiential learning increases at each level. At Level 5, Professional and Research Practices enables an employer, community or self-initiated project and prepares you for independent research. You may also apply for an optional Year in Industry between Levels 5 and 6. At Level 6, a 40-credit Dissertation and applied advanced modules allow you to investigate a substantial question and create evidence for graduate employment or further study. Placement availability is subject to successful recruitment by an employer; students are supported in applying but a placement is not guaranteed.
