The FdA Visual Effects and Post-Production programme is offered within the School of Creative Studies at East Coast College, Great Yarmouth. It will be moving into a new purpose built Higher Education centre in the centre of Great Yarmouth, called The Place, this will be a state of the art facility very close to amenities and transport links. The FdA Visual Effects and Post-Production programme is offered within the School of Creative Studies at East Coast College, Great Yarmouth. It will be moving into a new purpose built Higher Education centre in the centre of Great Yarmouth, called The Place, this will be a state of the art facility very close to amenities and transport links. The new course premises will have access to new state of the art technological systems including Immersive media and Virtual Production, an area of growth in the industry.<br/><br/>The FdA Visual Effects and Post-Production course is designed to provide you with the practical, critical and theoretical tools required by the contemporary visual effects and post production industries. You will develop the problem-solving and reflective abilities necessary for study and subsequent work within the industry. The programme has a focus towards film and television post-production, colour grading, multi-platform editing, and compositing combining 2d/3d animation and visual effects.<br/><br/>Visual effects production is an innovative area of contemporary design; it’s blending of art and technology calls for practitioners who are both technically skilled and aesthetically aware, with a balance of pragmatic decision making and creative flair. The course is designed to equip you with strong observational skills and the ability to apply these skills in the composing of a final moving image sequence.<br/><br/>The course has a strong focus on working within the 3d CGI realm and many of the modules seek to develop this thread within them, whilst retaining the narrative and aesthetic focus of story and visual realism.<br/><br/>Whist this is a full-time course, typically this course generally only requires 1-2 days on campus attendance, supported by self-directed study. This means you can continue to work alongside your studies and balance other commitments.<br/><br/>The course enhances graduates employability within a range of media based industries, or alternatively provide access to a range of related Honours degrees at University of Suffolk. This programme is not open to students requiring a Student visa to study in the UK.
